Sports are an integral part of a person’s growth and physical wellbeing. Institutions dedicated to the curation of physical
development are a rarity in the ever-expanding Dhaka city. Planned development for the larger part has ignored the need for
institutions, complexes and playgrounds. Within the eastern fringe of Dhaka this is even more noticeable. Bashundhara Sports complex is intended to address this void.

The complex comprises of two indoor swimming pools, an indoor multi-sport facility and multiple outdoor facilities: Cricket ground, football and futsal grounds, Tennis courts and Hockey courts; all fulfilling international court size requirements. The overall planning and architectural grammar is conducive to functionality and appropriate zoning while bearing in mind that every individual function of the complex is independent but part of a collective whole.
